Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness month & community organizations, Don’t Clock Out  & Introspective Spaces are collaborating with Riot Healers on merch, in person & virtual events throughout the month!

Healthcare workers need community removed from their institutions that acknowledge their shared meaning & collective struggles inside & outside of their roles.

Join us for our upcoming events and stay tuned for resources to support healthcare worker mental health.

Introspective Spaces Retreat

May 5th from 9:30 - 12:30 PM PST

Malaika Latty Art Studio (Silverlake)

In honor of mental health awareness month, we are hosting a mini retreat for women in healthcare in Los Angeles on May 5th. We hope this retreat can be a space for women in healthcare, across specialties, to build community and  process their experiences through expressive art and contemplative practices. We are also grateful to be able to offer 3 CME/CE opportunities through CMEfy.

Moral Distress in Healthcare Webinar (Virtual)

Moral distress is one of the primary reasons healthcare workers feel distress in their jobs. It’s a leading driver of burnout and isolation in healthcare. In this webinar, we will deconstruct moral distress and it’s impact in healthcare and ways we can move forward together as a healthcare community.

May 15th from 9-10 AM PST

Active Hope in Healthcare (Virtual)

May 21st from 9-10 AM PST

In the current state of healthcare, it’s hard not to feel hopeless. We turn to the inspiring voice of nurse leader and advocate Donna Gaffney, author of Courageous Wellbeing for Nurses, to share her decades long experience of activism in healthcare and her words of hope for the future.
